A private donation from The Cindy Lynn Sherwin Memorial Foundation (CLSMF) was made to Out2Play, an organization that addresses the overwhelming need for playgrounds in New York City public schools.

New York City sees a prevalence of obesity and related health problems among today's youth.  This donation was made keeping with the mission of CLSMF and Cindy's commitment to health and wellness.

The playground included an age appropriate playscape, a running track, soccer field and lawn games, among many other features.

The ribbon cutting ceremony at P.S. 132 included live entertainment, by the Hungry March Band, a student musical presentation led by TADA's musical director, refreshments and a day of outdoor play.

Representatives from the foundation and members of Cindy's family were in attendance for the ribbon cutting including: Richard J. Sherwin, Jeffrey C. Sherwin, Lauren Sherwin, Barry Adelman, Margot Sherwin and Lauren Adelman.
